Social Distance Protocols

RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES FOR INDIVIDUALS
  • Before Activities
    • Be symptom free for at least 14 days prior to any activity. 
    • Stay home if you are sick or do not feel well. 
    • Be aware of and disclose any potential contacts with affected individuals. 
    • Wash and sanitize your hands often.
    • Do not touch your face, eyes or mouth with unclean hands.
    •  Practice social distancing regularly.
    • Wear a face mask to reduce exposure to airborne particles.
    • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow if you cough or sneeze.
    • Keep a list of people you have been in contact with each day.
  • During Activities
    • Refrain from attending any activity if displaying any COVID-19 symptoms.
    • Comply with all permissible regulations approved for the venue.
    • Wash and sanitize your hands often.
    • Do not touch your face, eyes or mouth with unclean hands.
    • Refrain from contacting other participants and attendees (high fives and huddles).
    • Practice social distancing as often as possible.
    • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow if you cough or sneeze.
    • Bring hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes.
    • Properly dispose of your personal drinking cups, bottles, or utensils used.
  • After Activities
    • Wash and sanitize your hands often.
    • Do not touch your face, eyes or mouth with unclean hands.
    • Monitor your health and report any symptoms after every activity.
    • Practice social distancing as often as possible.
    • Wear a face mask to and from the facility to reduce exposure to airborne particles.
    • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow if you cough or sneeze.
    • Wash and sanitize all gear, uniforms and apparel used during the activity.
RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES FOR CLUBS AND CLUB FACILITIES
  • Facility
    • All entry into Sideout will be by appointment only for confirmed lessons, clinic enrollment and camp enrollment.
    • Provide hand washing or sanitizing stations throughout the venue.
    • Establish social distancing protocols
    • No congregating in lobby or restrooms
    • Create and display signage clearly outlining the venue’s COVID-19 policies.
  • Before Activities
    • Disinfect the venue and all equipment, including volleyballs, where the club activities will take place.
    • Verify that venue staff, club staff and participants are symptom free before participating in any activities.
  • During Activities
    • Continue to clean and disinfect the venue and equipment, including volleyballs, where the club activities will take place.
    • Enforce social distancing requirements.
    • Regularly sanitize commonly touched surfaces during the club activity.
    • Remove anyone from a club activity if they exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms.
    • Limit the number of people in the facility to be compliant with local guidance.
    • Modify drills or activities to limit/reduce potential violations of social distancing requirements including but not limited to: high fives, huddles, and team meetings.
  • After Activities
    • Sanitize all surfaces and volleyballs that were used during activities.
PRIVATE/GROUP LESSON PROCEDURES
  • No walk-in lessons. All lessons must be confirmed before arrival.
  • Athletes will be required to log their temperature before entering the lobby.
  • Payments should be made before lesson by phone or EZfacility Portal. If you'd like to pay by cash or check, please have the player bring the payment in an envelope to hand in before the lesson.
  • Only one client in the lobby at a time.
CLINIC / CAMP PROCEDURES
  • Registration
    • Payments should be made before program by phone or EZfacility Portal. If you'd like to pay by cash or check, please have the player bring the payment in an envelope to hand in before the start of the program.
    • There will be NO walk-ins.
    • Athletes will be required to log their temperature before entering the lobby.
  • Drop-Off and Pick-up
    • Upon arriving at our facility, there will be a Sideout Sports staff member outside located in the drop-off & pick-up area. Please be reminded that parents/guardians are not permitted to enter the facility. This will allow us to maintain a lower volume of traffic in the building. 
    • For drop-off, the athlete must wait in their car until they speak with a staff member. The athlete will be checked in outside and prompted to walk right into the gym. No one will be able to congregate in the lobby.
    • For pick-up, all cars should be parked in the parking lot or at the end of Law Drive on Dwight Place. A Staff member will assist all players to pick-up areas after each session.
  • During Activity/In the Gym
    • Coaches will enforce social distancing as often as possible.
    • We are limiting our player participation for programs.
    • Drills may be temporarily modified for safety and comfort of players and staff.
  • After Activity/In the Gym
    • All players and staff will be told to wash and sanitize theirs hands
    • We will be disinfecting all commonly touched surfaces, bleachers, and the balls in between programs.
